He enlisted in September 1939 at the outset of the conflict.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Service History<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"444\" data-end=\"563\">M\u00fcnzing was initially assigned to Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon 19 before being transferred to Infanterie-Regiment 194.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"676\">During the Stalingrad campaign, he was wounded and evacuated, surviving the destruction of his regiment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"832\">Following his recovery, he was reassigned to Grenadier-Regiment 211, where he continues to serve as the assistant machine gunner (MG2) for 1. Gruppe.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notes<\/h2>\n<p>One of the longest-serving members of the unit, M\u00fcnzing is known for his experience and reliability.
