He was married to his wife, Amanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Service History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kaufmann enlisted in October 1942 and was initially assigned to Grenadier-Regiment 194.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1943, he was reassigned to Grenadier-Regiment 211, where he currently serves as an Unteroffizier and squad leader of 1. Gruppe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Notes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to his leadership role, Kaufmann serves as the company cook, consistently preparing period-correct meals for the unit.
