GR211 Leadership Team
The command element of Grenadier-Regiment 211 reflects the leadership structure of a German infantry company, centered around its senior non-commissioned officers.
At its core is the Kompaniefeldwebel, known as “Der Spieß,” who serves as the administrative and organizational backbone of the company. Supported by his deputy, this element is responsible for maintaining discipline, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring the cohesion of the unit.
Drawing on experience, structure, and practical leadership, the command element oversees training, events, and living history displays while maintaining a consistent and historically grounded portrayal.
Together, they provide the stability and direction necessary for the unit to function as a cohesive and effective formation in both field and public settings.

1. Gruppe represents a well-rounded infantry squad within Grenadier-Regiment 211, composed of experienced veterans and newer soldiers alike.
Led by Unteroffizier Rudolf Kaufmann, the Gruppe includes a mix of roles essential to field operations, from machine gun crew to riflemen, each contributing to the effectiveness of the unit.
Several members bring prior combat experience, including service on the Eastern Front and survival of the Stalingrad campaign, while others represent the steady flow of reinforcements joining the regiment in 1942–1943.
Together, the men of 1. Gruppe reflect the structure and composition of a typical German infantry squad of the period, combining experience, discipline, and adaptability in both field exercises and living history displays.

2. Gruppe represents a mid-war infantry squad within Grenadier-Regiment 211, composed of soldiers who entered service during the rebuilding period of 1942–1943.
Led by Obergefreiter Dietrich Lindemann, the Gruppe combines structured leadership with a mix of experienced personnel and newer members, forming a cohesive and functional unit.
With a complete complement of riflemen and a machine gun team, 2. Gruppe reflects the composition and adaptability of a German infantry squad during this stage of the war.
